Sarah Dessen - Once And For All

Do you believe in true love?

Louna is quite a piece of work letting herself to be convinced about the they-lived-happily-ever-after scenario. Nevertheless, she is facing it day by day by her notorious wedding planner and the-biggest-love-denier-on-planet-Earth-mother's side as well as the commitment-diching bachelor William betting how long the freshly weded couples can take each other in their fresh as a daisy holy union. As far as I can tell, it is a nice grouping of professionals: scynical and all that. But sure, they must have been part of multiple Bride AWOL, Groom Control and Momster operations, which apparently make people stick to the ground and question the promises taken for granted onthe play ground. Those days when a boy poured a bucket of sand on your head, you looked up to him with love-stricken baby eyes.

Not today, though, which kind of sucks if you think about it. As in, life holds both good and unpleasant surprises and no love story is written in stone. Neither does the flamable romance of Louna and Ethan which gave me a little stir. At that moment, I was the one who was a sceptical and a denier about the whole true love and all that. I mean, destiny must be extremely fond of you if you are the one picked out of the throng given a-one-chance-of-true-love and you recognize it during one summer night. So it did bother me a little, but Ambrose lightened up my mood whenever he was in the saddle. I find this kind of getting-to-know-each-other-slowly-with-an-enormous-passion-building-between-us thing working. Overall, the comparison of the two-pronged attraction was pretty spectacular and thought-provoking at the same time. GJ.

“But you never know what you can do until you try, and if you're lucky, what you love will always be waiting for you”

Wishing for second chances

Even if their ship set out on a bumpy ride, look at how it worked out in the end. Louna, for God's sake, take a run at it and she triumphed! A billion brownie points for her.

Ambrose is a total PHAT and a queer fish. He was hilarious surrounded by a flock of puppies licking his shoes around the clock. Ambrose must not have any problems in the sand box. That is for sure. I may have fancied to have an insight when he tries to go steady with a girl. Next time, then.
Not exactly a boyfriend material, I might add, because this loosey-goosey serial dater side of the coin hardly takes the opposite direction, but we never know. There are miracles out there after all. ;)

It is worth breaking new ground once in a while especially once and for all.
