“What’s bravery or sanity when you’ve got destiny on your side?”
Alison is not likely to be nominated to run a government or at least be the valedictorian in her senior year, by all means she has the potential to be remarkable in her own weird way, yet she's hiding behind the scenes being afraid of what if her unbelievable-still-true clandestine gift becomes public. And even if it doesn't appear on the cover of GQ, she could get into serious trouble with her superhero-dewing ability of thought-making. Yeah, she could implement seeds of ideas on people's minds. Crazy right?
“Half the guys in here can’t stop looking at you, and Ian looks like a kid in a candy shop. In case you’re confused, he’s the kid and you’re the candy.”
What a surprise! Ian Palmer pops out of nothing so as to make my day brighter, let alone he is a self-appointed Yoda to his Luke Skywalker dedicated to teach her to embrace her destiny. How noble of him. I've been always attracted to the stereo type of world-savior and it's not an exemption either. He totally fits the category but I feel he's not given too much credit for it. Frankly, I could bear some more making-out action, although I just love their in-the-moment cuddling. <3
“We are sometimes at our strongest when we don’t have the luxury of overthinking things.”
All in all, while reading it felt like a delicate touch of a feather: so easy. It's also a turn-the-duckling-into-a-swan kind of thing that is always a pleasure to see what breaks surface. A used-to-be-lurking-in-the-shadows teenager becomes an all-powerful-slightly-badass-world-savior likewise. The perfect match to Captain Ian America.
"Fortunately, I had a natural preference for tall, dark, and handsome types. Ian was too Captain America for my taste."
—I would like to rebut the statement above for order's sake, it's a widely accepted truth that if someone is too Captain America for your state, then you should be aware of the fact you just died and got into heaven. Just saying...

Do you know how weird does likeness sound? Soulmate would have been just fine. Neology needs to remain in the past sometimes.
